Here are some highlights from the June 27th 4E corporate call.
(Here's the actual recording.)
http://www.audioacrobat.com/play/WhCccT84First of all, here's what got my attention the most--EPA testing. Plus, since it's been one of the big discussion points over the last few weeks, I thought it'd be helpful to to provide a partial transcript in case you don't get to listen to the recording.
Enrique already showed tests from EPA approved labs to several leaders who were at San Diego this last time. They were on diesel vehicles with biofuel and had phenominal results. But, Shane said 4E is getting ready to send a Ford Taurus (actually, it sounded like there'll be more than one car) to an EPA approved lab. ("EPA approved," not just "certified." Shane said that Enrique said that there's a difference.)It'll be a fuel-only test.
[Beginning of transcript.] Enrique is really strict on ethos--on ethics--and what that means, and he said [in so many words, not a word for word direct quote from Enrique], "Llisten, just to send an EPA certified test out that says XYZ is not entirely ethical. I want to have an ethical test that says unequivocally, without any doubt, that EPA recognizes that as a true and real test and that's the savings on fuel."
So are we doing that? Yes, we are. Why are we doing that? So you can tell anybody who asks you, "Do you have an EPA test?" You know, before you got into this program, many of you may not have even said the acronym EPA, but it has become the buzzword out in the field because there are so many people claiming to do certain things with fuel and oil and cars and so on, so EPA's a big thing, so we're going to do that.
But primarily we're doing it because, as a company, some day as we grow faster and bigger--and we will, we will be 100,000; 150,000; 200,000 people in the field out there using this product--we want to be able to point to those documents to any regulatory agency who says, "Well, we like it, we like your product, we like what all your people are saying, and your testimonials are phenomial, but what do the test results say about that product or else," right?
We're going to have those tests available. We're doing that right now. We're making it public, if you like, through our attorneys that we're doing that. Rest assured, nobody wants this more than we do.
[My note: from Shane saying that the tests will be made public through their attorneys, it's not clear if the tests will necessarily be available to be used in our marketing materials or not. It could be that 4E will just keep the tests on file in case any regulatory agencies want to see tests. I guess we'll find out for sure after the tests are done.]
Again, we're a new company we're a young company. Enrique has had sufficient documents in place to do business with the military here and the government in Asia and down south in Equador and so on.
He's had all the documents he needs because they do all their own testing. They don't take his word for it and then buy $150 million worth of product without testing it a little bit. But because we're selling it to the public, of course, we want to make sure people are comfortable and feel good about it when they're selling it. Using it's one thing, but selling it is another. So that's where we stand on that.
[End of transcript.]
Other items...In the near term:
* more additions to the website
* getting credit cards launched
* I.T. getting credit cards integrated with the software & website
* getting revised Policies & Procedures posted
* making sure comp plan is complient here and in Canada (they're more strict in Canada)
* all these things are so, so close within the next week, so hang in there
We're going to be around a long time, so we're getting things done right and in compliance everywhere we need to be Within the last 2 months we've gotten customer svc staff and phone up and are getting things ironed out (all 10 of the staff are now trained). The credit card account is a domestic account, and is still a limited account for now, but should be okay for getting autoship up and running, etc. The computer is secure, your data is secure. The computer security was tested by an outside company and the data is all locked down. With EthosFR you'll get varied results in fuel savings (5%, 10% and up) depending on if vehicle has high miles or not, and even within different countries because of different fuel grades in those other countries. Places with lower grades will notice even better savings than we do. Some people in places are more excited about what the product does for the air they breathe than money they save at the pump.
Do you have to be on autoship? No.
Do you have to have a specific volume every month to get a commission check? Yes.
Are we enforcing that yet? No, but we will very soon and we'll give ample notice, no suprises.
We're building an inventory for overseas shipment to get them started. We'll ship them several pallets initially.Enrique leaves July 3rd for a week in Shanghai, the inaugural event, complete with fireworks. It officially recognizes EthosFR as being used in a broad way there. Will have CNN and other media coverage.
